  Introduction

LuBo Industries, Inc. has been specializing in the manufacture of a broad line of
self-lubricating bearings and die & mold components for over 20 years. These products are
designed to operate without the addition of any oil or grease, and  are well suited for low
wear surface velocities, whether linear, rotational or a combination of the two. Lubrication
is provided by a specially formulated solid lubricant, mainly graphite, which is compressed
into dense cylinders, and then inserted into the wear surfaces of the bearings.
The solid lubricant forms films of graphite on the bearing wear surfaces and mating
surfaces when relative motion begins.
The graphite films provide a low coefficient of friction without the need for any additional oil
or grease.

The solid lubricant is tailored to specific application conditions.The chemical components
of the solid lubricant are varied to perform under such conditions as high temperature,
and chemical and water exposure. Different heat treatments are employed to generate
the proper bond between the solid lubricant and the base metal, as well as to ensure
the overall quality of the final piece. The excellent anti-friction characteristics of the
bearings with solid lubricant are not compromised by these differences in solid lubricant
composition and bearing heat treatment.

Typically the bearings are cast from manganese bronze that has a high load carrying
capability, in addition to low wear characteristics. Other available base materials include
stainless steel, carbon steel, red brass, cast iron, and aluminum bronze.
Selection of the base material is determined by specific application conditions such as high
temperature, high load, water or chemical exposure, and high relative velocity. Other
conditions may also influence the base material selection.

These self-lubricating products are best suited for high load, low velocity applications
where the application of additional oil or grease is undesirable or unattainable. For further

difficult, expensive to implement, and where grease/oil cannot be
used. Excellent lubrication is achieved even under high loads at low
speeds.

         Excellent wear resistance is achieved under severe working conditions,
        such as heavy load, low velocity, reciprocating, oscillating and
         intermittent motions where the formation of oil film is difficult. 

 3. Low Coefficient of Friction: 0.04 to 0.2 typical.

         Self-lubrication with specially embedded solid lubricants reduces friction.

4. Wide Operating Temperature Ranges: -415 to 1,100F

         Superior performance is exhibited under high and low temperature
         conditions.

5. Corrosion and Chemical Resistance: Performance is not
        affected by water and caustic chemicals.

6. Designed to Exceed Your Requirements: High precision
        products with close tolerances.

 7. Cost Competitive: Maintenance, replacement, and end-item
         downtime costs are reduced due to the exceptional service life compared to
